Suella Braverman was fired yesterday from Rishi Sunak’s cabinet. This resulted after her stand against the pro-Palestinian protestors in the United Kingdom.She had also accused the UK Police for showing favouritism towards the protestors supporting Palestine. She described the protesters as “pro-Palestinian mobs” and “hate marchers” Suella and her team were advised to tone down her language in an article published by her in the 'Times'by Rishi Sunak and team.However she had refused to do so. The article had strong views against the UK police role and Palestine supporters in the United Kingdom. Suella Braverman was born in a family of immigrants from Kenya and Mauritius, she grew up in Wembley.However she took strong stand against migration through small boats and she wanted to make UK's asylum laws stringent. She had resigned from Liz Truss's cabinet earlier for sending official documents to her own personal email address.The Indian-origin barrister resigned accepting a technical breach of the government rules. In her resignation letter, she wrote, "I have made a mistake, I accept responsibility, I resign." This further contributed to the fall of Liz Truss after a short stay in UK prime ministership. People close to her say that she is a warm, friendly and self motivated.She led the team from UK to investigate the crimes committed during the war in Ukraine. She made the following comment "Russia has brought barbarity to Ukraine and committed vile atrocities, including against women. I am pleased to have led the UK delegation of war crimes experts to Ukraine and to have met those leading Ukraine’s journey to justice, including the indefatigable Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova ". person.However she has widely received hate responses after her controversial speech in US against asylum and migration. She was even called as "Cruella Braverman" by few protestors.Even though there are no resemblance or similarities. Earlier she revealed the origin of her name in an interview with The Sun ,she quoted : "My name is actually Sue-Ellen, because my mum was a fan of Dallas and thought this would be a great name for her daughter. I’ve been plagued ever since. ‘But my primary school teachers didn’t like the hyphen. So they came up with “Suella” on my little tag for my coat and that stuck.’ Agitated by her speech in the United Kingdom Labour MP Yvette Cooper, as seen in the below tweet ,made a strong stand against Suella . “Suella Braverman has so lost grip of Tory asylum chaos, she is targeting & scapegoating LGBT people. Deeply divisive, damaging political game playing - unworthy of her office. Instead of blaming people persecuted in places like Uganda for who they love, she should sort chaos at home”. James Cleverly has been appointed as the new home secretary of the United Kingdom. David Cameron ,the former Prime Minister of the UK who had left after the Brexit controversies has made a comeback. He is now appointed as the new Foreign secretary of the United Kingdom. Braverman lashed out serious allegations against Prime minister Rishi Sunak on 14th November 2023.In an open letter to him she accused that his plan is not working, he has no appetite to do what is necessary and no intention of keeping his pledge to the people of Brittan.She also wrote that, he(Sunak) is engaged in wishful thinking , is weak and lacks leadership skills and thus he is betraying people of Brittan.Reminded him that service requires bravery and thinking of common good and He wouldn't have won leadership contest without her support, or become PM. She also adviced him for a course correction and without that he will endup in a major defeat in the upcoming election. Her accusations could be thought as her 'playing the victim' , in the wake of a possible inevitable major defeat in the coming elections.However the popular belief is that she has got what she deserved, after being credited as the most hated woman politician in the history of Brittan 😢.
